Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see the creative life around a work: the overlooked detail of a shared space, a useful comparison of materials, a clear account of a practice or a thoughtful history of a cultural form. Proposals should suit general readers and make their central idea easy to grasp.
What makes a strong pitch
Send a concise outline of the subject, the main point you want to make and what a reader will understand or notice by the end. Include the proposed format, relevant experience or familiarity with the subject, and the sources or examples you expect to draw on. Specific, bounded ideas are easier to assess than broad surveys.
A useful approach
We value precise language, considered context and a distinct point of view supported by clear reasoning. Avoid unsupported generalisations, promotional framing and claims that depend on expertise the piece does not establish. Pitches should be original and should tell us if the idea has been offered elsewhere.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option to send your pitch. Include your name and a way to reply, along with the outline and any useful context. A proposal is not a commission, and we will use the contact details only to respond to your message.
Creative culture is made in company.
A finished work matters, but so do the rooms, materials, habits and encounters that surround it. We look at those conditions with curiosity and care.
